Hi Guys,

I'm looking to build a new rig by the end of the month and have basically decided most of the parts I want to get. Now the only thing left to decide is the MB that holds them all together. The parts are:

CPU: Intel E6750 Core 2 Duo
CPU Cooler: Asus V60
RAM: Corsair-Performance DDR2 2GB Kit 800MHz 5-5-5-15
Video Card: Leadtek PX8800GT 512M
HD: WD Caviar SE WD3200AAJS 320GB
Case: Antec Sonata III with Earthwatt 500W PSU

Right now I'm thinking either:

Asus-P5K

or
Intel BLKDP35DPM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813121314

I'm looking for more stability then performance because I've had 2 dead mobo in the last 3 years. I won't be overclocking anything because I'm hopeless at it. Please give you suggestions and help me decide. Thanks guys!!

Stay away from the Asus P35 based mobo's, they have many issues with random reboots when your in the middle of gaming and other apps. Go for the solid Asus P5E X38 based mobo's. These Asus P5E's have a very good track record so far for being reliable out of the box.

Well if your set on getting one of the two you linked to, get the Intel. However It looks like MSI, DFi, and Gigabyte have decent mobos in your price range.

I think with Asus, you pay more for the name than the quality. I keep hearing people complain all the time about Asus boards. I actually have avoided them for a while and have had great luck with the companies I have listed above as well as Foxconn and ASRock.
