Trying to find a decent upgrade for my wife's PC. She has a 7600GS in it right now, its a small-medium sized Gateway case, and the Power supply is only 450W. Basically the card needs to be the same physical size as the 7600GS, give a few cm to an inch. So far the options are an 8600GT, X1650, and...well thats preety much it. Trying to keep this below $150, and both those options are ****, but the 8600GT is only $109 and performs a good 40% better than the 7600GS according to the benches here. Anyways...what do you guys think?

I was in a similiar situation and ended up going with the 8600GTS 512. Just make sure you get a GDDR3 model and not a GDDR2 model. EVGA has them on newegg for $170 + a rebate of some sort, so it's just a hair over your number.

Yea.....I was pondering the GTS, but its a little too much for what it is. The only game she plays is EQ2, and Hellgate London soon. I think the 8600GT with the GDDR3 will be a good little bump over her 7600GS. Im not looking for astronomical results here, just 5-10 more FPS worth is good enough.
