Format acer laptop

i have an Acer aspire 4736 laptop with windows vista. and i need to restore it to factory seeting but cannot do so with backup discs 'Recovery disc 1'. please help me to solve the problem.

Post what you tried, exact error messages. Your disks could just be bad.
