I have about a $1000 usd to spend but not sure on all the exact parts. So i was wondering what you computer savvy guys on here would do with the money. I was thinking on something like 8800gt, e6750, 2gigs of 800 ram, seagate 7200.10 320gigs, Antec 900 or Raidmax Sirrius, thats all i got im not real sure on what mobo and psu i should get i dont need a mobo with a bunch a features i wont use like a 680i, im not going to run sli. I was thinking of getting A ultra x3 600w another psu they make is teir 3 though and im not sure about this one, the reason im considering it is because of its great modular design where you just plug in the cords you need instead of having that mess of cords. What would build?

Sounds good to me, the modular PSUs are very expensive, so I dont know if you want to spend that much. If you get the 8800gt you'll have to wait as the capitalist pigs are gouging us at about $300 a pop, but you can look into the new ATI cards they are comparable. Also, you could get a lower speed CPU and get a better fansink such as the arctic 7 block and then just overclock easily from what I hear.

Look into the CM 690 Case, and an E6550, DS3R, and just overclock. Get some cheap ram, tier2 or 1 psu; where you should spend the money. And keep the 8800GT. Look into the Corsair 550w VX.

The Corsair 550VX is not modular...instead look at the Corsair HX520w. Get the E6750 and look into the P35 boards from either Gigabyte or Asus. There is a P35 Gigabyte board at Newegg for around $90 that is nice. Coolermaster makes some good cases.

Is the 520hx modular, because thats the one i was originally going to buy, but thought i should spend a couple bucks more for modular. And FYI the ultra x3 the guys who have the patent for modular design make teir 2. So im not sure anymore.
