Hi,

I'm currently looking to replace my X1900 AIW by an XFX 8800GT, unless the 8800GTS G92 really worth it at a price near of the GT's one, in 2-3 weeks...

My choice is stopped on the XFX GeForce 8800 GT 512MB DDR3 XXX (PV-T88P-YDD4), but I can't find it anywhere. They only got the XFX GeForce 8800 GT 512MB DDR3 Extreme (PV-T88P-YDE4), wich is a bit less overclocked.

Can anybody is able to tell me where to find it. I'm from Quebec, Canada.

And by the way, does anyone can tell me about the noise of the fan?? I like to have a PC as silent as it can be, so if it is a noisy card, wich vga cooler do you recommend me??

Thanks

I'm not sure you're going to find an available XFX card. I know there are lots of places that carry other brands, but stuff like EVGA / XFX is going to be extremely hard to find.

I do have a couple of stores who have XFX cards in stock, but it is always the PV-T88P-YDE4, not the PV-T88P-YDD4. So I'm looking for a place where I could find one, near Montreal, Quebec, Canada, or a store that will deliver in Canada for a decent price.

For now, the PV-T88P-YDE4 is 285$ at my favorite store.

Ah. As for after market coolers... I think most of the coolers for the 7900 series cards fit the 8800GT. I made a post with about 3 links to other sites that confirmed compatibility of after market coolers. I believe there is even a thread specifically dedicated to 8800 coolers in these forums.

These should help:
