Hi,
I own a PC with SLI capabilities....My video card is a Winfast 8600 GT 256/128.....can I put in a another 8600 GT 256/128 (different brand than Winfast......Palit Daytona)......for SLI mode?

AMD Opteron 165 OC to 2.7 ghz skt 939
MB ASUS A8N-SLI SE skt 939
2*512 DDR 400

answer is yes but try to get matching RAM sizes. less hassle in the end.

They both have 256 megs / 128 bits

remember all speeds will be reduced to match the slower cards speeds.

Yep your good. depending on how much you plan on buying the new 8600gt for, you could sell your older one and buy a better card (8800gt for like 270). Make sure your psu has enough amps on the 12v rail for sli'd 8600gt. Also rember not all games take advantage of sli, and hardly any will gain 2x the power. If you can get the 8600gt for around $100 you should be good.
