I'm trying to install a Zalman 9700 CPU fan into an EVGA 780i SLI motherboard, but I can't figure out whether the retention guide is vertical or horizontal. Is that the little lever thing that latches shut and holds the CPU in place? Thanks.

Thanks, but I've tried that. I have, however, figured out which it is, and for me it is horizontal. But I have another problem. I can't get the S bracket thing in without using a lot of force. The screws don't even go into the holes, because the S bracket is so far away from them. Help?
