Heyas, I'm looking to build a new computer and I'm looking for a decent graphics card. Not looking for anything too crazy expensive, $125 is my budget give or take. I came across a Visontek X1950PRO 256mb 256bit for $104 after rebate and this looks like the best buy as far as budget/performance. A lot of others recommend the hd 3850/70 series, but those are near $200.. dunno if it would really be worth it in price comparison.

*BTW is Visiontek okay? I don't see why they wouldn't be good enough at that price, but who knows?

Itby(your nickname for me) is right. However, if you would like more opinions on the matter, you might try posting this in the graphics forum.

X1950PRO was the previously most recommended GPU around here. It's a good DX9 card. Yes, wrong forum.

I have one and it can play bioshock, stalker and other modern games fine even at 1680 X 1050. Sure you cant see the details much past medium but they all still look great. Its still a good card for the money.
