Solid state drives and flash drives?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the difference is between a solid state drive and a flash drive?

Both are solid state devices for storing data.

A SSD refers to a hard drive for a computer system; a flash drive usually refers to a small mobil device - usually pen shaped but thicker and shorter or a small "card" that is connected to a computer device - usually by USB port or a card slot.

Just go search newegg to see examples of both.
