your cpu is probably bottlenecking graphic card....you would need to buy a new CPU to see higher performance. Also, Vista needs at least 3GB ram...2GB ram for Vista is bad....

If you can get a new cpu and about 1 more GB of ram...you should see scores around 10k+... me thinks.

Show us your individual scores (cpu and video card), I also think the cpu is giving a lower score. I don't think one more GB of ram would help as much as the cpu, 2GB is still decent for 32bit.

Excuse me could you please link to some evidence to support this? Just interested thats all, As I have been running vista 64 on 2 gb without any problems and getting good benchmarks.

I wouldn't say 3GB is required, but Vista64 is definitely a resource hog. I currently run 2gigs, and Vista alone uses between 800-900 MB of that. And thats with turning the silly side bar tool off.

I run Vista Home Premimum 32bit and 3GB ram and the extra gig does help. Especially when it can use 1791mb (minus 512mb of my card's) of ram for graphics.

This isn't exactly true. I removed my 3rd Gig of RAM because my benchmarks and applications were suffering. My system ran quite a bit better on 2Gb vs 3GB.

Whatever works for you. Don't know your configuration, you can see mine. My WEI base system score is 5.2 (not that that means anything), what's your's?
