Please help

I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player in my computer, but my Internet Explorer cannot find it. Because of this my HP Solution center scanner and fax will not work. IE9, HP solutions keeps popping up forms that say that I have to download the latest version of Adobe Flash player for IE9. I have done that already and I see it in my Control panel. All my downloads default to a part of my computer. I also see the Flash Player installer in the download folder. How can I get IE9 to connect to my Adobe flash player? Sincerely

I'd uninstall I.E. 9, thing has too many issues.
