OK, so I have read on some post about people updating their Nvidia Driver to ForceWare 169.09...but when I go to the Nvidia site to see their latest driver for 8800GT for Windows XP...it says it is ForceWare 169.02

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_169.02.html (Released Oct. 31th)

Am I missing something? Where are these people getting their drivers from? And is it an official, hacked, or beta version?

PS: I am just interested in having the latest official driver - not beta version. Which I believe I have (169.02)..but just want to be sure that it is. So far I have experienced no problems with ForceWare 169.02 and it has been working great.

169.09 is a beta driver so if you dont want beta stay with what youve got.

thanks. thats what I thought. i don't trust anything with the word "beta" attached to it. :)

To be honest Ive got the beta drivers on one of my two gaming rigs at home, and It could be coincidence but I dont think its running as well as it was with the previous final drivers. Wont be able to confirm that though till I reinstall the previous drivers.
