Looks like Intel DQ35Jo isn't AHCI XP Pro compatible. I have tried every trick to F6 install XP pro, which all ended with bluescreen
My previous thread : Intel DQ35JOE mobo F6 setup fails from Chipsets & Bios.
I have unsuccessfully tried to create a slipstreamed XP installation CD and unattended installation CD of AHCI SATA drivers, to install without floppy.
And finally from Intel web site- use IDE instead of AHCI!
That likely this mobo works only in IDE mode, but why the heck I buy latest technolgy if I can't use it!!!
Please follow the below steps:
Re-boot the system and enter the BIOS by pressing F2 at the BIOS splash screen
From inside the BIOS, select the 'Advanced' tab
Next select the 'Drive Configuration' option
Scroll down to 'Configure SATA as' option and press enter
Select IDE to change the setting from AHCI
Press F10 to exit saving changes, and 'Y' to confirm the changes
Your Window XP operating system should now load on to your desktop system.
I have tried all tricks and SP variations.
Imo Intel Matrix Storage latest 7.8.0 drivers don't support Win XP AHCI or Raid with this mobo.
Therefore my thread first question can be:
Can anyone confirm that this mobo works in AHCI or Raid mode under XP?
I doubt in it, but if yes, then what BIOS version? I have BIOS updated to latest 0731.
And some hints please, what tricks you did to get it installed it?

Despite obscure message on Intel website, I couldn't give up.
When I weren't able to find any Windows setup compatible USB FDD when googling, I occasionally instead found a link how to add Nec ext USB FDD support.

Now the mobo has been installed XP AHCI with F6 ext USB floppy.
Presently up and XP running.
