I recently downloaded SP3 from windows updater and it screwed everything up. Ended up reformating harddrive. I decided to create a 5Gb partition for windows XP and a few windows programs, so i don't loose all my important files again that haven't been backed up. But everything that downloads seems to want to go to that drive. I wanted to see if anyone knew of a way to block or lock out the partition. Or if there's a way to make everything download to the larger partition.

Change the path of your download folder via its properties.
