Hi
Here's the deal.

I am running Vista Ultimate.
Asus P5KC
Seagate Barracuda 500GB Sat II Drive, conected to the Intel sata controller. (Red connector on the board.) Running in IDE mode in Bios. AHCI mode not available in BIOS.

The hard drive properties tell me the drive is in DMA Mode 5 (Ultra ATA/100)
I want to get the drive to run in DMA Mode 6 (Ultra ATA/133). The Bios for the P5KC does not give me the choice to choose DMA Mode 6

As the ICH9 chipset does not support AHCI and the JMicron does is it possible to run the internal hard drive on the JMicron connector in AHCI mode, and as a result have it run in DMA Mode 6, or is it just not possible to run the drive in DMA Mode 6 on the P5KC board.

I will greatly appreciate any advice.
Many thanks

Tom.
