So, before I go buy, are either of the 6400 X2 unlocked?  The regular or the BE?  Thanks.

Unlocked multiplier?  That's what a Black Edition (BE) is.

well, thats what i thought, but i heard some people talking about the 6400 BE not being unlocked.  so, then i was wondering if there was a real difference in the OC ability of the two.  has anyone tried to OC the regular?

The highest you can get out of both of them is 3.3GHz. 3.4GHz is extremely rare, and I haven't seen anyone with those speeds.

Those are remarkable speeds for the 6400+. Good luck on achieving that.

Blewby-

Care to post some bench numbers? Like Everest Ultimate Memory Read, Write, Copy, and Latency would be awesome.

I currently have the 5000+BE overclocked to 3.2ghz as my everyday, with my ram running at 5-5-5-15 2T 1066, and would love to compare numbers.

Thanks!
