I have a 8800GTS 320 by Evga and ati tool shows it too be idleing at 71c!

I was looking to overclock just a tad to get crysis to run a little bit more comfortably on my rig, just the demo, bear

in mind that im a CoD4 man. Anywho, how do i turn the fan speed on this guy up? I cant figure it out. Ati tool doesnt

show that option for this card. Help would be GREATLY appreciated!

after taking the side of my case off, and turning the rig to the side, it still

idles at 66c! Which is crazy hot, it has to be. I touched my finger to the

fan, as its pointed downwards, and its barily moving, i mean, its obviously

spinning fast but could be cranked MUCH higher.

71 is a little warm but nothing to be worried about, and 66 is about normal for idle. These cards do run hot. The fan, when on "auto" doesnt spin very fast until temps reach the mid 80's, You can use rivatuner and crank it up manually though.

Thanks, before I try Rivatuner, I went and downloaded nvidias tuning program and up'd the fan to 99% for 3d apps, and its idleing around 61 at the moment, and i played crysis and it went load to 72c. This is with a slight overclock using ati tool. I hear rivatuner is a good program, ill have to check it out.

I agree. I have an EVGA 8800GTS 640 and at stock speeds it idles around 60-65 depending on ambient, and under load goes as high as 74-76 before fan steps up.

Using rivatuner though, I run it at 640/1480/960 and it never goes above 79 C.
