If you look here at newegg, you'll see that there are plenty of 3870 and 8800GT's in stock (more types too). This was found by using a different type of search at newegg. Funny thing is that the price of the 3870's are only $250 here while if you find them under PCI 2.0 or anywhere else they are $270. Also the HIS 3870 here has a 20 dollar rebate.

Those are the same cards and same prices I find on there just by browsing like anything else. It's not hard to find the actual cards, just catching them in stock can be hard. Like now, I don't know how many there were when you made this post but there's only two different models of 3870 in stock and I'd hardly call that plenty (especially when there's five more models out of stock). But later in the day or tomorrow check back and it'll probably be different. Oh, and the prices were lowered recently by AMD, the news has been on THG's front page since yesterday, so that's why they're $20 cheaper.

You are welcome. It's called "Power Search" and it lets you focus your search on different factors such as: Manufacturer - GPU - Memory Size For example; aznstriker92's search used GPUs - 8800GT & 3870 only You can use the same type Power Search in other areas of the NewEgg site as well. It maybe the most useful search tool if you know what you're looking for
"With The announcement of video card GeForce 8800 GT series NVIDIA company looked specifically to a price range .Unfortunately, the deficit in such card increased their prices to a level that even on the top of the recommended price range ($ 249) to buy GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB is not so simple.
The Video card Radeon HD 3870 could not compete on performance with the GeForce 8800 GT512 MB , but it is offered at lower prices from $ 219. For the Radeon HD 3850 the recommended price is located in the level of $ 179. Later came information that just two weeks after announcing the video card Radeon HD 38xx AMD company will be able to reduce the recommended price.
Associate confirmed that AMD lowered the recommended price by $ 20. Accordingly, the graphics card Radeon HD 3870 worth $ 199 and video card Radeon HD 3850 for a total of $ 159.
Associate also report that NVIDIA is going to lower its prices. We hope that in the next few days we will get more details about NVIDIA price drop. "

Hmm well I posted this because when I saw this link at another topic, and then regularly browsed the graphic cards, they were still all $270. maybe they changed now. Also the avaliablity and companies were different between searching them and browsing them.
