Hello everyone..............I have a dual core setup.
please tell me if this is good.

Intel e6600 @3.06Ghz
ati/ocz 2gb ram
Asus p5k deluxe
enemax 1000w psu
ati x2900
atec 900 case.

I would like to upgarde to e6850 and maybe new vid card.

please comment.

If you want to upgrade then going quad is a better option. Otherwise jsut overclock your E6600 to 6850 speeds.

The card is fine, but a new HD3870 might work for you... That PSU is overkill btw.

looks solid, but I recommend you switch the graphics card to a 8800GT/GTX, and motherboard to a DS3x or a DQ6 if possible. Might want to get a lower powered 520HX.

3870 offers slightly lower power consumption, but little or no performance at all over the 2900XT....waste of time

8800ultra is the king of the hill at the moment, but expensive.

Upgrading to the E6850 is pointless considering your current E6600 is clocked to those speeds.
