I currently have a single eVGA 7950 GT KO.

I mostly play Company of Heroes, and would like to be able to play at the highest resolution on my 24" monitor (1920x1200).

I might also get into COD4, again at full resolution.

Should I buy another 7950 GT and run them in SLI? (That should cost me about $180 to get a new one)

Or buy an 8800GT? (Cost about $300, then should be able to get around $150 for my existing 7950, so effective cost is $150)

Do I need a special MB to run in SLI? I have an Asus P5B.

I am using XP and UI do not plan to go to Vista any time soon.

I have an Intel 6400 for the processor, 2GB RAM.

Thanks!

8800GT would absolutely murder the 7950 in SLI.... Definitely go 8800GT

Agreed. Buy an 8800GT, HD3870, or even HD3850 and sell your card.

For fun, look how the lil' HD3850 manages to hang with the X1950XTX and destroy the 7950GT. How's this for $160-180.

Anyway, at your res, the 8800GT is the way to go if you can find one in budget.
