hey there. i have a problem. or rather a friend of mine has. he is using a wlan to access internet via a router. actually we all are using this wlan. the broadband is seperated by using differnet network addressess like 192.168.xxx.2 as the ip and a gateway of 192.168.xxx.1 (the x's are different for everyone though each has the same numbers as ip and gateway...) also we use a preferred and an alternative dns server...

now our problem is that our download speed is lower than our upload, which is kind of wierd for an amateur like me... while we're paying for a 512kbps down and 512kbps up connection, our actual down speed is around 80 to 120kbps and the up speed is around 350 to 450 kbps...

how can that be and what can i try to do in order to change that???

thanks guys...

hope someone is around in order to help me/us...

bye mariner
