im trying to decide between going with amd or intel cpu's i know the intel is rated a little higher in tests then the amd, but the amd is a bit cheaper, which one do u think is more worth it

Yeah... The motherboards are pretty much the same, feature-wise.

The EVGA (Intel board) is 680i, which I'm sure that is a better Northbridge for SLI.

I can clearly see who the Intel fanboys are. Most of them will tell you that the C2D is better, and if its not, they tell you it can overclock, whatever. Basically, the AMD is $30 (ignoring combo discount, if their is one) cheaper and performs %4 better on average. The Intel board will consume less power and have better SLI.

I'd go with EVGA/Intel board personally. In the long run, it most likely will not matter which one you get.

Actually if he's not overclocking, then performance will be similar between those two processors. So go for whichever is cheaper. I can tell you that AMD has the better upgrade path, but if you're not worried about that then it's not a problem.
