2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 800mhz Crucial Ballistix (I plan to go to 4GB later)
Gigabyte nVidia nForce 570 SLI Socket AM2
VisionTek ATI Radeon HD 3870 512mb
320GB (2x160GB) Western Digital Caviar SE16 S-ATA Drives
Sony CD Burner/DVD Reader
Lite-On CD/DVD Reader
ThermalTake 5x Fan controller
NEC Floppy Drive
ThermalTake xRay 5.25" drive device
RoseWill Z1 CPU Cooler
Apevia X-Cruiser ATX Mid-Tower
Lots of lights/fans

Thanks in advance for your help!

I found this one. Its got basically all 5-star reviews, is 500watt, and gives >70% efficiency. What do you guys think: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817182009

in your price range, there are no power supplies that i'd personally recommend. save up your money (say about 100 - 150 bucks) and get a good power supply that will run stable

I would also save up for a quality PSU, it's arguably THE most important component you will put in your system.

Silverstone, SeaSonic, Antec, Corsair are trusted brands, and I'd look around the 500W range. I like browsing for them at NCIX.com (or NCIXUS.com) because you can see all the forum topics about them on the product page. Similar to NewEgg, except that it's more of a forum style than Pro/Con, so you can quickly see threads about comptability, quality, comparisons, etc.

Also make sure you google reviews for the PSU also. You don't want to get a lemon brand and have it ruin your build.

Would the OCZ StealthXstream 500watt do it justice? Great price, good reviews, reliable brand, and enough power.

Question : why do you want the SLI mobo with a ATI card?

Why not get a crossfire mobo and 3870 or SLI mobo and 8800GT ?

I thought you can dual ati cards (crossfire) in a SLI mobo
