Check your resolution. Right-click on desktop, Properties>Settings. Is it the correct one for your monitor? If not, try uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics card drivers.

[#0005ff]Also, some monitors have a menu of their own controlled from buttons on the unit itself, and one of the options is sometimes to deGausse - or take the magnetic effects away.[/#000ff]

SL, you need an avatar.

I have also seen this effect caused by nearby devices such as speakers and AC power adapters setting too close to a CRT monitor (it influences the electron beams
)

I vote for a frothing pint of ale! (For Saga's avatar :D  )

(I don't think he drinks.

Do you drive a motorcycle?)

Yes. I am an avid motorcyclist. Unless I am mistaken SL, doesn't your moniker suggest the involvement of a social pint?

Someday, I am going to bike across the northern states, over to the Pacific and then back across Canada. That will be my ultimate adventure!

Saga Lout is British for "quarrelsome old person." The Yiddish equivalent would be "alte kokker."

Ok...see when I looked the term up earlier in the month I had found this at the top of the google results:

"Dr Peter Rice said the typical Saga lout acquired a taste for drinking at home as alcohol prices dropped in the 1970s and 80s and became more socially acceptable."

Thought you were going on vacation.

No, not vacation. Just spending as much time outdoors as possible this weekend. Got to come in to eat though! <Grin>

[#0005ff]For clarification, Saga Lout was a pun on lager lout - a very British phenomenon of the 1980s and 90s over here when excessive drinking of overcooled and fizzy beers of Czeck origin caused social problems. I've never drunk lager but my last foaming pint of ale was taken in 1985 and my last alcoholic drink of any kind was ten years later. I'm just an old alcoholic who doesn't drink any more but the name appealed to me when I was looking for a Message Board handle. :D  I'll fish out an avatar when I have time - possibly a photo of one of my wolves - or German Shepherds as American call them. Enjoy the ride, DP - last time I rode a motorcycle was in 1966 and that was over mud!
