Isuue with my new system build...

Hi,
I put the below system togeather.

Antec 900 case
Antec trio 550 W Ps
GA-P35-DS4 - MB
Core 2 duo 6400 - CPU
Crucial Ballistix 800 Mhz - Memory.
8600GT - Video card.

I have loaded my XP pro and other software on it and worked well for few days. Yesterday, I tried to start my system and found it will not power up. I so my Blue led fans start for just a for 2 sec and gave up. After sometime, It start system ok. This happened twice with my system.

I think my Antec Trio 550 is not working currectly. I am suspecting my PS is not working properly. I am little upset with Antec PS.
If you have seen this issue please let me know or provide you view on this issue.

I'd start by trying another PSU. Antec makes good PSUs but any company can make a bad one

Could be a very simple thing. Like a loose screw shorting out the mobo. Or a cable dangling around in the case & stopping some fan. Try unplugging everything & plug them back in with psu cord unplugged.

Is the psu new?

Did you check to see if the power button cable is correct on the motherboard?

ive had problems with crappy cases having the power button it self short out, which makes a bad connection but can also burn out psu's and mob causes it continually shorts it, but otherwise buy a 20-50 dollar psu tester and test it, or send it back if its got a warranty
