I'm not looking to SLI, but I'd would like to have some room for the future (i.e. DDR3 when the prices come down to earth). Here's what I was thinking:
Case: Antec Nine Hundred
Mobo: ASUS P5KC LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard (cause it supports both DDR2 and DDR3)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Processor
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-620HX
Mem: G.Skill 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
HD1: Western Digital Raptor X WD1500AHFD 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150
HD2: Western Digital Raptor X WD1500AHFD 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150
Vid: BFG Tech GeForce 8800Ultra 768MB 384-bit GDDR3
Snd: Use SoundBlaster X-Fi from old system
CD/DVD: ASUS 18X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe SATA Model DRW-1814BLT

Everything looks good, but if you're going to OC that Q6600 you'll want an after market cooler. TT120 (Tuniq Tower) or Thermalright 120 Extreme are good choices and should fit your case.
