Need Help Pls Caviar SE 16MB Cache Sloooowwww

i noticed my system was kinda very slow, copying 4gb took arround 30 minutes and it really botherd me so i decided to run a bench mark to check the read/write speed of the hardrives and it was very slow

only arround 3,5 MB/s Write and 4MB/s read

in the HD specs says it has a external transfer rate of arround 300MB/s im not expecting that speed but holly 4MB/s its just wrong.

i read in another thread what configurations to check if ultra DMA its enabled and mine its on PIO cant change one says PIO Mode and the other says Not aplicable and its Locked there.

Corsair XMS DDR3 Memory 1333Mhz
2 x SATA II 250GB Western Digital 7200 RPM, 16 MB Cache

Problem Fixed i went to the setup, the ide controller was on auto.

i swiched it to Ultra DMA 5 and my read/writing speeds went from arround 3/4 MB/s to 97MB/s.

What a BOOST really, i can see the difference.

if its not something utterly retarded, that you could find on google very easily, it is probably a problem.... (I didn't check google, maybe thats how he found it)
