Hi people,
i'm a new user to the forums, but I've been reading the guides for ages.

I'm probably going to sell my machine soon but I honestly don't know how much to ask for. I would like to maximize the profit since I'm no no rush to get rid of it.
Here are the specs:

- DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard
- XFX PV-T71G-UDF7 GeForce 7900GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI
- DYNAPOWER USA EP-50X.C563-BX ATX12V 500W Power Supply
- Rosewill RK-500 Black Black USB Wired Slim Multi-media Keyboard -
- Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (Perpendicular Recording) ST3250620AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
- Western Digital 150GB 720 0RPM PATA Hard Drive (So adding them up you have around 400GB total)
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Toledo 2.4GHz Socket 939 Processor Model ADA4800CDBOX
- COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Aluminum Bezel , SECC Chassis ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
- Pioneer 16X DVD±R DVD Burner With 5X DVD-RAM Read Black ATAPI Model DVR-111D
- OCZ Platinum 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
- Additional 2-port USB card

Depending on how much money I get out of this, I might also sell this:
- Viewsonic VP2030b 20" LCD (phenomenal response time btw)

Anyone care to give me a ballpark on that stuff? (as a whole is fine)

Thanks for your help!

Half the price of a brand new computer comparable computer from CC/BB.

I think BB had a comparable computer for $399 in this past weekend's funny papers.... oops, I mean sales ads.

I'd say around 400-450 considering it's second hand obviously.

i would say $550-$750 US dollars (Not including monitor), depending on who you sell it to.

Indeed...It all depends on who you sell it to. I'd see around 450 if you sell it to someone who knows enough about computers. But with the average joe..You should be able to get away with around 500-700.

Hmm, I was thinking about going for 800 and see how that went. I'll probably have to bump it down though.

You can build that same computer for $742 with newer AM2 CPU, and motherboard with DDR2 ram so I would take it for $371.

Rohmaan , what....are you HP, IBM or Dell. You can't just buy a whole bunch or computer parts and put then together!

I just created an account to tell you that you are wrong =/ The computing unit of IBM was sold to the Chinese company Lenovo.

Wrong! Lenovo may seem like a Chinese company, but 75% of the share holders are "Crab-people!" They live underground. They also taste like crab, look like people.

Yea Lenovo is not IBM. UPS ships them straight from China all year long.

As for you build I would say 350-450USD. Monitor(depending on naitive resolution probably 150-200USD.
