I am running some cat5e cable to another room to run another computer and to run into my stereo also.
I will run two cables to a wall connector from my router. I have set the wall connector up with the T568A arrangement. Is that ok?
My question is how should I set up the cords running from the router? What arrangement and how should I set up the male end of the main cords running to the other room? Does this make sense? Thanks.
you post is a bit confusing but to clarify basically you want to run two cat5e cables from the router to another room correct?
As long as the cat5e cable is terminate the same at both ends you wont have a problem so if you use the T568A, only use that scheme. To the wall connector use the T568A configuration when you punch it down.
Besides that you shouldn't have a problem and all should work okay.
Sounds like you know what you're doing Tell me about the stereo though, I'm intrigued. I know printers and faxes sometimes have ethernet ports, but stereos is a new one on me.
