I'm building a budget system, and I would like some advice on what Case and PSU to get...
My budget is $80 including shipping.
I will be running this setup :
Intel Core Duo or Core 2 Duo
2GB DDR2 800mhz
250 Seagate Barracuda
DVD Burner
Raden 2600XT or a cheaper Geforce 8600... Not sure yeat... probably only going to spend about $100.00

I would really like a good looking case.... you know a balance between looks/price/quality

Used this for a build for one of my grandkids. Not the greatest PSU but will work and easy enough to pgrade when you you have the money.

Do you mind waiting for rebates or not? This time of year there are a lot of mail in rebates that you can take advantage of and get something like
this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153023

and this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119094

which would come to $69.98 after rebate and shipping. A case is a very subjective thing and only you can decide if it's what you want but I would strongly urge you to put more of your $80 into the PSU.

Something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104954 is a very good PSU but will be $57.83 after shipping and rebate which will leave you $22.17 for a case but the same Cooler Master for $29.99 after rebate with free shipping will be very close. What ever you do stay away from cases with included power supplies.

you really should think about getting a good-quality psu, it can be recycled again then for future builds without worrying soo much about if its got enough watts.

Thermaltake TR2 PSUs are on Tier-4 of the list at http://www.tomswiki.com/page/Tiered+PSU+Listings?t=anon

Choose one from Tier-3 or better. FSP makes a 450W peak unit for $55 that should meet your needs, and is on tier-3. I've installed three of them within the last year in systems similar to yours although one now has a 7900GS in it.

I like the low price CoolerMaster cases. They are tool-free, and have good airflow. They may only come with one 120mm fan in the rear, but if that isn't enough you can mount another one up front. UPS dislocated the mobo tray on one of three I bought, but I was able to pop it back into place easily enough.
