You should be able to find the max safe temp for the E6750 in Intel's website. I would look it up for you, but apparently the site's too busy atm.

General rule of thumb is to stay under 65C, you can't go wrong there.

While it is a tad hot for a dual core cpu, it's perfectly fine to have those temps as load. 65C is the safe limit after all.

What kind of cooler are you using? If you want to OC a bit more, it's preferable to get a better cooler.

I personally like the Xigmatek S1283, it is very good for the price. Make sure it will fit in your case though.

since you are not shooting for the moon.just 3ghz on a dual core a AC freezer 7 pro will be enough or the Coolermaster Hyper TX2.but of course if you feel the need for more speed afterward then the Xigmatek cooler will be the better option.all depends on your budget.

I agree...AC freezer 7 pro is more than enough for 3.0ghz. I have the same mobo/cpu combo. If you're going to get a better cooler, why not shoot for 3.6ghz? I OC'ed mine to 3.6Ghz easily with this combo. I have the zerotherm nirvana nv120...

....also make sure it fits your setup...cause this thing is huge.

My idle temps are about 36c ...w/ prime95 temps peak @ 62c. Intensive gaming temps never exceeded 55c.
