it's not hard, you just have to make sure you install XP FIRST, and then vista. this will ensure that vista's bootloader will give you the correct options to boot to each OS. If you do it the other way, XP's bootloader will not handle the vista installation correctly.

yup. while its possible to fix it of you install vista, then xp, its not for the faint of heart.
When you boot, you will be asked to pick the OS you want.
To my mind, this was a pain to do every time.
Do you have a real requirement to run two different os'es?

If you want it on different hard drives you can just set this in the BIOS, boot sequence in the BIOS will usually allow you to pick a particular harddrive. This should get around the bootloader issue
