Comman prompt appears breifly,then disappears.

My laptop was working fine,then the power went out.now everytime i try to start it,it goes to a blue screen with a command prompt that pops up and disappears.I've tried running safe mode,last known good configuration,but nothing works.

If it helps,my laptop is from HP and runs on a Pentium(R) Dual-Core

tried running a diagnostic on the Hard Disk.Says #10008 - Replace Hard Disk 1rent test item on the quick and full test.
It passes the SMART check however.

If it's warranty, contact HP for a new disk. If it's not in warranty, buy a new disk and install Windows on it.

You may be able to get the data out of the original drive, get an external USB enclosure for it, plug it in, see if it can be read.
