What are the implications of using two different brands of HDD in a RAID 0 (performance) configuration?
They are both 7200RPM 320G but one is an enterprise edition. I will come back with the exact models.

An article was written here on Toms about this very thing. While on paper this will work, there are other factors to consider.

I remember reading that article, basically said you can do it. Ive heard of alot of people doing this type of thing to avoid the hard drive dying at the same time (the theory is if you buy 4 of the same model drive at the same time they will all die around the same time) this has never been proven though and with hard drives these days being so reliable its not something you would want to do.

Id say go for it, if you have issues then that would be the first place to start to look for problems.
