Hi all, I'm building a new rig.. have had this old one for centuries and it's time to upgrade.
I am on some sort of budget, so bear with me.

Am buying

E2160
OCZ StealthXstream 600watt
Sony Nec Optiarc DVDwriter
Some cheaper Thermaltake case (can't afford lots for case)
8800GT 512mb
2gb DDR2-800 from geil, black dragon with 4-4-4 12 timings..
Samsung 200GB hard disk
Ruby Orb cpu cooler
Haven't yet decided on the mobo..

So have a few questions cuz I aint no pro in hardware stuff..

Can I be sure that I won't experience any bottlenecks with this pc?

Am planning to overclock the cpu to 3.0ghz at least. This means I have to set fsb to 333mhz, can I do this without touching the voltage? If not, what voltage would I need for it to run 3ghz?

Somewhere around next year I would like to upgrade to a penryn cpu, so I would like a sufficient mobo to go with this rig.
This pc will do primarily gaming, I saw some relatively sick benchmarks with the e2160 oc'd so I think that together with 2gb ram and the 8800gt it will make a fine gaming rig.
I even hope to get crysis to run at 30 fps with this.. (i never play with higher res than 1280x1024)

So anyone who can help me thx in advance..

To insure Penryn upgradibility, X38, X48 (not released yet) or 780i (available soon). P35 will have BIOS updates to support Penryn, but 680i is still up in the air as far as I know.

Well, Badge covered mobo's... :D The Gigabyte p35 boards do make great OC'ers, and if they are updated to support Penryn, then even better! I think they're about $85 too, not too bad imo.

You can get an Antec 900 pretty cheap now. I think Comp USA has em for $49 or $59 and newegg has them for $119 ($69 after mail-in-rebate... but we all know how that can go) /w free 3 day business shipping.

If you want p35, find abit ip35-e at newegg. it's on sale. While you're at it, find antec solo case. On sale. $10 after rebate.

The antec 900 still costs 100 euro where I live.. a bit too pricy for me..

I usually don't do online buying so won't get it off a site.

As far as I've heard of Wolfdale cpu's won't be having FSB1600?
That is why I thought of buying a p35..

But what about the cpu question...
If I clock that to 3.0ghz do I need to change stock voltage?

I know how it works lol, I was just like..

If someone could tell me if 3.0ghz is doable without tweaking voltage than that would save me some time..

If I would increase fsb with steps to find out max for stock voltage.. it would take me lots of hours..
So if someone could tell me.. 3.0ghz on stock voltage then I would just change the fsb to 333 immediatly and simply do just one prime test.. saves me the time..
