Hi Guys, I just finished building my first PC. I plugged it in and I see this screen. I figured I'd pack it up for the night since I'm not sure what to do next. Should I load the disc that came with the motherboard next or my operating system (vista 32bit) ? By looking at this screen is my hard drive being recognized ? Its a Sata drive and I don't see it. How come some of the USB are 1.1 shouldn't they be 2.0 ? Remember I'm new at this be easy on me . Thanks

looks good just go to your bios setup and make sure the dvd/cd in in the bootup list normaly I put this as #1 then the HD then floppy, the sata drive is the screen before this it probably just flashed if not setting up for raid or ach....(can't rem the name) at work atm.

You should load the operating system first and then the drivers for your motherboard.

That's the normal result. There's nothing on the hard disk. You have to buy an OS & install it. BTW, Gigabyte still misconfigures the bios to boot from harddisk by default! harddisk last, cd/dvd 1st, 2nd is floppy.

Ok I loaded vista and all the up to date drivers . Everything seems to be running smooth BUT AM I UP TO SPECS ?? These numbers don't seem right . I appreciate your help guys .

Yeah that all seems right.....
The CPU is clocked down because of Speedstep which drops the multiplier and saves electricity (someone should really sticky this)

The RAM is just at those settings, access BIOS and hit Ctrl + F1 and go into M.I.T and put the clocks and voltage to stock settings of the RAM you bought

If you want the cpu at max speed at all times (a waste), you disable speedstep in bios.
