Will this PSU be enough for an 8800GT?

Hi, this is my current configuration:

Pentium D @ 3.2 Ghz
2 GB RAM Kingston
ASUS 512MB 8800GT
250 GB HDD

All I need now is a PSU. I chose one, but I'm not sure if it'll be enough for my rig. So can a power supply expert tell me if it'll be enough (Sorry, it's in Russian, I'm guessing only the numbers matter..if you need a translation tell me)?

It's some company called Delta...

ATX 2.2

Thanks.

Considering my attendance in required M/W/F gym class during high school bears a direct correlation to our defeat of Russia and an end to the cold war, yes please translate.

Try to see how many amperes are on the +12v rail. I think you need 26 or 28 for the 8800GT. (This is off the top of my head) If that 550bt = 550W and assuming you have enough amperes on the +12V you should be able to run that card just fine.

Freetranslation.com gave this translation...

ATX 2.2
Rated power 550 Вт
Entrance pressure 115 / 230 V (changes. A current)
Frequency of an alternating current 47 - 63 Hz
Target pressure 3.3, 5, 12 V
Force of a current on an output (max) 28 V
Noise level 27 Db
Properties / features - active PFC

Looking at Delta's website (assuming I found the right one) they didn't have a 550W psu listed. The highest they went was a 450, but that was listed as the maximum continuous power (which may mean that the max power is higher). Both the 400 and 450 they had listed had 14 amps on the 12V1 and 15 amps on the 12V2. If what I've heard is right, and by all means correct me if I'm wrong, adding the amperage from both 12V rails is ok to determine if you have enough amperage to run the card. If that is correct then both the 400 and 450 would be able to run it.

I forget how it works, but I know that 14 + 15 doesn't quite = 29 amperes. (Weird, I know.) You may be able to still get by with it, but I'd see if anyone else knows a little more on the subject.

Getting specs for a Delta psu is a pain in the .......
There is a Delta 550 watt unit on the ATI Crossfire certification list for the 3870, if it can run 2 of them it should certainly be enough for a single 8800 GT.

To find the total amps on the 12v rail you get the total watts of the 12v rails and divide it by 12.

So if there is a 600w max output on the 12v rail then the combined total amps on the 12v rail is 50amps.

Well I see the number 28 in the specs, so I'm assuming it'll be enough for the 8800.

Anyways I'll try to run it and get back to you guys ;)

Thanks.

I got same prob getting same confing. as you just Asus 8800 GTS 512 that takes more W then GT.

I asked around and people said that Chieftec 450 W is more then enough to run all.
