Overclocking my 9800gx2

Wats a stable overclock for the 9800gx2? i've been incerasing all 3 components core shader and memory 10-15mhz and then scanning for artifacts for one hour
the card is currently at core 621mhz, memory 2044mhz and shaders 1533mhz and its runnin at 63celsius with ati-tool how much more should i push the card. I intend on keeping it for about 3 years.

Are you using ATI Tool to oc a Nvidia card?

It should break 700mhz easily. G92 8800gts, which uses the same core, oc reliably to 750mhz. Mine is currently running at 780mhz. Just keep in mind to lock shaders and gpu to oc both at the same time. And don't push memory too far, they're not as ocable. Keep an eye on heat. Increase fan speed as needed.

i use rivatuner for overclocking and ati tool for checkign stability. The 8800gts is a lot easier to overclock then the 9800gx2 which runs a lot hotter.

Set fan speeds to 100% and overclock till you become unfomfortable with the temps then step it back 5%.

Just to let you know, you do not have to scan for artifacts for 1hour. I allow a little artifact for my 8800GTS 320MB and it never shows in any game.

no artifacts i got my XFX 9800GX2 to 760/2200/1900. i have the fan set to max, non of that auto BS and i looped 3dmark o6 for about 8 hours while i was at work and its all good. i was more of crack it up and work my way back. i have great cooling and the card never goes over 60C and idles at about 38C. if nTune is no go for u try Riva tuner. works good for me.

I'm using an antec 900 is that cooling good enough? And i;m using a inno3d card which isn't as good as xfx although it was cheaper $569

dam, i'm back on stockclocks even though my card only goes up to 65c when stressed and can run ati tool for hours but when i play crysis i get minor artifacts and then i crased after two hours of playing.
