[Solved] Adobe flash player problems windows 7 64 bit

I have windows 7 64 bit. I accessed hbo.com and was told I needed to update adobe flash player. When I did the install, google chrome was also installed. I looked to see if flash player installed and it did. I went back to hbo.com and got the same message to update flash player. I then went to hbo.com via google chrome and got in OK. I think google messed with my IE. Please help.
