The multi is unlocked in the extreme processors. If you plan, and ONLY if you plan to OC the cpu get the extreme, otherwise you have no reason to get one. Stick with the q6600 otherwise.

cost, and out of stock now for a week or better, so not an option got to spend it before the wife does

good Idea on the Q6600 and DDR2-800, after posting here I hit the newsgroups seems the DDR2-1066 have a performance/cost problem.

while not a hard core OC'er I do get a warm fuzzy feeling just knowing I can if needed/wanted hehe

the system is being built for the fact my system is 5 years old, and I been a good boy so time for a new toy :)

I do play eve-online have for 3.5 years great game if you have the time to put into it :)

other than that mostly just web stuff and light graphics
