Frostytech ranks it as the best cooler, although many people still regards the TRUE the best once lapped properly.

You can hit 3.6GHz on the Q6600 safely using the Xigmatek.

Here's Frosty's review of the Xigmatek s1283. I'd get it over the ACF7Pro, since it's only about $5 more and cools much better.

This is all you need to know.

Thermal Resistance 0.16 ℃/W for the XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler. $36.99 shipped lifetime warranty

Thermal Resistance 0.17°C/Watt for the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler $31.99 shipped six year warranty

$5 dollars for about 1C degree difference in cooling ability at stock CPU speed.

Shop around and you can find the 7 Pro cheaper.
The Xigmatek is a bit harder to install.

it depend on your VID on your processor.my high VID 1.3000V Q6600 cant overclock anything over 3ghz with the Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro(lapped).bios 1.35v load 69C.but i have seem some overclock to 3.2 and 3.3ghz with low VID

but if 3ghz is your aim go for it!

If you have good back case fan the AC pro 7 is very good.

Don't know about Xigmatek, but mine AC keeps my e2160 @ 3.0 Vcore 1.36 in idle at 34oC load 45oC(58oC cores), and without back fan it goes way up to 63oC and 70oC on cores.

back fan and front fan is a must as its needed for the air flow inside the case.but the OP and me is OCing a quad core.so heat output will be much more higher if not twice!lol
