I've just got a Q9300 and want to know if I can overclock it to 3.0GHz with the stock cooler?

My spec:

Q9300 2.5GHz / 1333FSB / 6MB-cache
P5K Premium WiFi rev2.0
Inno3D nVidia 8800GT 512Mb
500Gb SATAII
650w Atrix dual 12v rails
XClio Wind Tunnel Extreme Cooling case (with two 250mm fans)

Is the case enough to keep is cool? I'm not planning to go over 3.0GHz.

Well I'm assuming it will be able to achieve that quite easily even with the stock cooler. I mean it's only a 0.5GHz overclock and that should be a breeze on a 45nm processor.

Ahh man.. thanks for replying to this. Been wanting to try this but wasn't sure if it would be safe since never overclocked before and don't want to add anything to my system yet cos I just got it!

The Q9300 should be able to hit 3.6GHz without much hassle. You'll be limited by the motherboard, so you will be running high fsb speeds.

I don't think its a good idea to take it that high with stock cooler, mr master-debaster.

I just stated an opinion myself after reading around and looking at the temperatures people have been reporting.
