Hi, all

I'm having a problem with a couple of OTA digital stations where I
can't receive a couple of HD stations. The ABC afiliate (WLS) and
public TV (WTTW) stations have each had signal problems within the last
several weeks. The digital signal was lost for 1 or 2 days, and then
returned back to full strength.

The problem I'm seeing is that while the signal strength is up on ch 52
for WLS and ch 47 for WTTW, the 7-1 and 11-1 stations are both showing
no digital reception.

The set is a Toshiba 52HM94 (DLP, integrated tuner).

I've searched extensively with google and have come up blank on this
problem. Any ideas?

Please reply to the newsgroup. TIA!

Yes, the signal did drop recently, as that link indicated. Other
people's sets have re-acquired the signal. The Toshiba does not show
WLS or WTTW in HD today, Monday. The tuner has been reset and the
channels have been rescanned with no effect.

Does anyone have any ideas?

First, let me say that I dont own a Toshiba TV, but a coworker does,
and he had the exact same problem with WLS. Trying 7-1, 52, 52-1 didnt
work. He called Toshiba and they told him to reboot the TV.

The way he explained it, it was buried somewhere in the on-screen
menus and after a reboot and a rescan all was well. Something that WLS
transmitted in the PSIP caused heartburn in the tv, which didnt
recover even after WLS straightened things out.

I'm sorry I cant explain it any better, but you weren't the only one
with the problem.
