My amd fx4100 & phenom II x2 555

i have 2 PC Rig w/ same specsification
spec 1 :
-sapphire hd 6670 1gb gd5
-8gb ram
-amd fx4100 BE OC 4ghz
-mobo m5a78l-m LX
-thermaltake modular 750w

spec 2 :

-sapphire hd 6670 1gb gd5
-8gb ram
-amd phenom II X2 555 BE no OC no unlock
-mobo m5a78l-m LX
-thermaltake modular 750w

the question is why my phenom x2 555 faster than fx4100 ?

is there any problem in FX4100 ?

the question is why my phenom x2 555 faster than fx4100 ?

is there any problem in FX4100 ?

no problem it is simply a more efficient cpu.

i benchmarked my PC w/ resident evil 5
spec 1 : 60fps
spec 2 : 70fps

metro 2033 :
spec 1 : 30fps
spec 2 : 35~40fps

why my fx is slower than 555 ? its so strange...

RE5 only utilizes 2 cores, the other 2 cores of the FX are pretty much sitting there waiting for work.

Test them with prime95 and you will see the difference.

I upgraded from a Phenom II 555 to a FX4100 and every single game I've played has increased in performance.

Maybe there's an issue elsewhere?

How much of a performance increase are you experiencing ? Personally I don't see the 4100 as a viable upgrade from the Phenom II 555 at all.

Did you personally upgrade from a PHII 555 to a FX-4100? which I might add was OC'd to 4.Ghz.

The extra 2 cores make quite a difference, it's like saying there is no point in upgrading to a Phenom II 965, game like BFBC2 and Tribes:ascend, and well as Shogun 2 all benefited greatly.

Actually if i remember correctly resident evil could use even 4 cores so there must be something wrong with the FX System (not the cpu itself) the FX 4100 should outperform the phenom.Have you tried unlocking the 555 BE and turning it into a quad?If you can unlock the disabled cores it will be faster than the FX by a significant amount.

1. You didn't answer the question, just went on a defensive rant.
2. You wouldn't listen to two of the most knowledgeable people on these forums when you were buying your 4100. Your system is gimped because you wouldn't listen to reason so I'm not about to listen to you concerning upgrading.

I was just curious what sort of increases you were getting so I asked a simple question. Seems my saying I don't rate the upgrade upset you.

To do you the courtesy you failed to afford me, no I did not personally upgraded to a 4100 from the 555BE that I own. Because as I said I didn't/don't see it as a viable upgrade.

It was aimed at Uther, wasn't even being defensive I was just saying I got large performance increases in certain games namely CPU heavy ones.

Sorry if it offended you but it wasn't directed at you in any way. But just pointing out no-one in this entire thread answered the question...I also listened to people when deciding my CPU choice, once again sorry If I offended you.
