Hi there when i rebooted my computer after installing updates win xp 64 during the boot the harddrive just turned off (went click and spun down with the rest of pc still running fans and other hdd) the computer then rebooted its self and it booted fine windows then gave a message "your system has recovered from a serious error"

Is this just a random error with windows after updating or something else ???

Please help

HDD is a WD 250 GB IDE

everything else in the computer stayed running.
