I got 2 recovery cds

Hi Folks,
I have got 2 FUJITSU Computers SIEMENS.
I have got a problem I got 2 cd
1 cd is Product Recovery CD-ROM XP Home Edition-SP1
The other one is SP2
Can anyone tell me which disc is for what computer is there anyway I can tell

You should have SP3 on both of them now, as SP 2 will not be supported past July.

If you right-click on My Computer> Properties, you'll see which is the SP 2. Then upgrade both of them from the MS site.

Assuming the 2nd disc is a complete recovery disc, and not just a SP2 install disc, that's the one you want. You can use that disc to reload your system, and then update to SP3 with the Microsoft windows update center.

The problem with SP1, is that it lacks SATA support. So if you have any SATA hardware, it won't be recognized.

Hello I have just looked on my computer right hand click and it says windows version 5.1 service pack 3
if I do a full restore on both machines can i use same cd, I have product number on top of both pc's

You can still use the disc to do the restore. You will just need to get the updates that you'll be lacking.

if i use the disc to do a full restore on both machines what happens when it comes to the product key or at the finish of installation when i activate windows by phone

If the PCs are the same mode (same hardware), you can use the same install disc on both. Then when it asks for the product key, use the key that's on each tower. They are each valid for their own hardware, and each product key can only be (legally) in use on 1 PC at a time.
