Any recommednations for a simple GIS package running on a IPAQ? All I
want is to be able to get a OS map (or similar) and then add a layer on
top to identify items of street furniture (cycle stuff actually) - then
download this into MapInfo. Mapinfo for pocket pc's is REALLY expensive
- I can't get the ipaq to display my maps in the
http://www.maps4site.co.uk/ product and wondered if there is any other
simple software out there that will do this.

Try, ArcPad by ESRI (the ArcInfo/ArcView/ArcGIS people) but it might be
just as expensive. Discover Mobile is also more of a MapInfo program.
But for simplcity try OzzyExplore.
If you google a search you should fine various "moving Map" software
options for the Ipaq.
good luck,
Phil
