I rma"d my motherboard (Asus M2N32-SLI Premium Vista Edition) for a bad bios continuous cmos checksum error message. I reset the jumpers, changed the cmos battery all no good. Sent it back to Asus, and received a new board, the serial numbers were different. Within a few weeks the same issue is happening with the new board. Flashed the bios, reset the jumper, changed the battery. Is there a know issue with this board ?

Use one DIMM of RAM in slot 1 only and go into BIOS. In BIOS set the memory voltage to 2.0-2.1v for Patriot PC6400. Also set the memory timings to Mfg. specs. After the system is stable run memtest86, then add the other DIMM with those settings and run memtest to check for errors. If you have errors RMA the bad DIMM(s).

Did all that, memory voltage is stock, timing is stock. Memtest is fine. I am quite perplexed I may end purchasing new ram at some point

asus great brand runing vista on it not a good idea
