Netgear program doesnt open properly

theres only wireless network setup wizard in control panel and that doesnt seem to allow me to connect to the wireless router properly, and using the netgear wg111v2.exe doesnt work it is running in task manager but isnt open so i cant add in the wpa details to connect to the router, is there another program i cud use apart from the one on windows and from netgear.

Have you tried using Windows' own networking utility Windows Zero Config. So long as you have XP SP2 should work fine instead of the Netgear utility.

However, the fact that the Netgear software isn't working may be a warning that the wireless adapter is not installed correctly or not working normally, I would try reinstalling the Netgear stuff -- if only because I personally prefer using it to Windows' own.
