I had a sony Viao notebook, AR290G, which has its 2 internal drives in RAID-0. On boot up one of the drives reports an error has occurred. I guess it is going bad maybe?
Well, I was able to boot into windows and back up some imporant data to external disk, but some files, when trying to copy, will freeze up the computer or casue an auto reboot. My question is this; Is there a way to find the files from DOS and copy them to external disk? Any way i can back up this notebook without being in windows? what are my options for recovery?

Thanks.
